Jake

We are heartbroken that Jake (fka Cash) left us on May 18 after liver failure. He adopted us 5 1/2 years ago after he was hit by a car and taken in by GBGRR.  He immediately stole our hearts!

He loved his brother Marcus, who didn’t know how to play until Jake joined us and taught him how to roughhouse. Jake also thought it was fun to stick his nose in the cat’s ears and then sneeze on them.

He loved long walks along the bayou, chasing squirrels, bowling his tennis ball with me and belly rubs on the couch. Swimming was his favorite pastime and every afternoon he would grab a ball, drop it in the pool and look at me, then jump in the pool and swim and play for hours.

Many thanks to Lauri Neale and everyone at GBGRR for taking such good care of Jake and helping him find his home with us. I am eternally grateful Jake shared his life with us. We will always miss him, but know we will see him again.
